How did we manage

Before the likes of tweezers, straighteners, bras, cleaning products, toothpaste, toilet roll ....

Some things I class as essential items although they really just make life easier, but I do often think , how would I cope!!

Am worried now ......... all the time I have been around there has always been toothpaste and toilet rolls .............. lol

I lived on a beach for a year in Central America. Middle of nowhere. Beach one side rain forest the other and it really is amazing how well you do cope after a while without mod cons. Then you realise how simple things can actually be. It's an eye opening experience x

have seriously contemplated doing this also .. my fella is not convinced at all but I am all for doing it .. I love the simple things in life and could pack up tomorrow and go

In my opinion they are a curse, I see everyday people glued to then.where ever they go.

Have you ever tried leaving them at home.

For me I can't live with out cable ties, they have been used by me for anything from paintballing to keeping my fairing on to my motorbike when the bolts snapped

They used to use what they could find.

Bicarbonate of soda for cleaning and cleaning teeth and vinegar for cleaning as well. Dont think they had things like deodrant but think soaps been around for centuries

shall we do the canoe man of panama before we go !!! lol

seriously though .. ive looked at doing voluntary work for VSO and work Africa and other agencies as I find this lifestyle somewhat plastic
