Film on Netflix "the six triple eight" true story film
Synopsis
The film is based on the 2019 magazine article "Fighting a Two-Front War", by Kevin M. Hymel, on the contributions of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion, an all-Black and all-female battalion, in World War II. |

'The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare' - Guy Ritchie on fine form, pulling a great cast together to tell a great (loosely true) story about British grit during the war, full of all the madness and banter you'd expect from a Guy Ritchie movie! Loved it! |

Was good, very similar to SAS rogue heroes. |

"Tv: FROM, Slow Horses, House of Dragon, Silo, Andor
Movies: can’t really say, only saw a few
Animated: Arcane, Vox Machina, Hazbin hotel, Blue Eyed Samurai"
I still need to catch up with hazbin, it's been ages since I've watched it.
That and the last season of from. |

"Deadpool and Wolverine "
Unpopular opinion incoming.
Utter convoluted mess which tries to do too much and relied on you having seen other MCU movies and TV shows. The beauty of the first film and the second was it was anti-establishment and actually made fun of the MCU.
There were enjoyable moments but on the whole rather than it being Deadpools 4th wall breaking humor it just felt like Ryan Reynolds got really up his own ass in the smugness.

finally got round to watching 'the Fall Guy' yesterday, very much enjoyed and would add to my 2024 toplist for sure!
Great action, proper stunts (well, you'd hope so for a film about a stuntman!), some great little nods to the TV series and the 80's in general, and Ryan Gosling (mancrush), Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Emily Blunt (yes, yes I would) all do a fine job with their characters. Script is a bit thin, but who cares, it's just a 'popcorn' movie, thoroughly entertaining. |

I also didn't love it like others seemed to. I thought it was a bit meh. |
