Interesting point of clarity. I hug mates. A hug is fleeting and non-intimate. A cuddle is much more intimate such as spooning and stroking but can be non-sexual and platonic (in that it doesn't have to lead to a sexual act).
But, as suggested, for a cuddle to be intimate, does there need to be an attraction?
I have a friend who has been a very good friend for a long time but I have no attraction to her and therefore, wouldn't want to cuddle her. But that may be more about not giving her the impression I'd want anything other than friendship with her as I get the impression she may be open to more. |
