I was curious—are there any fellow artistic souls here on Fab? Whether it’s painting, drawing, photography, writing, music, performing arts, or even something wonderfully niche and creative, I’d love to hear about it.
Do you have a passion project you’re working on? Maybe a secret talent or hobby you lose yourself in when you’re not, well… losing yourself in other ways 😉.
Some of my work can be seen in my photos, I also write having published several books. The camera is always at hand |

Love my photography, been doing it for years , and can take a decent pic but it's much better when the subject or model has an idea and we work on it from there, great fun and always light hearted

"Mostly crochet and embroidery. I do sew a bit but not much. I paint occasionally and create a garden every year"
I was reading yesterday that the garden and pond in Monets work was his own, he bought the land and cultivated the garden so he created art in life and on canvas. |

I think if you are involved with someone who is passionate about their art, whatever it may be you can't help but get caught up in it also. |

I enjoy escaping into my shed/mancave, where I do my woodturning and wood carving.
Dee loves to crochet too
Neither of us take it too seriously, although I have sold a few pieces. It's just our escape for a few hours away from the hustle and bustle, a quiet sanctuary. |

I studied fine art and graphic design after I left school - back in the days when you had to paint fonts by hand!
Later, when PCs came along I went into website design - which I still do - and also spent some years as a picture editor and professional photographer. |

I didn't claim to do erotic photography, or that I'm an expert, or even offer. i simply said i was passionate about my photography and I learned a lot about photography and myself through photography.
What i did learn is that whatever the subject it needs to draw and engage the viewer, bring out and feelings and emotions of the viewer. Art is personal and subjective.
Still today one of the most erotic photographs for me was a lingerie shoot as a model with another model. |

I love photography. I mostly photograph the sea just before sunrise, also 35mm street photography and some portrait and glamour. I love the concept of micro-stories.
I did train in silver and gold Jewellery Making a few years ago, but I think it was a mistake at my age with my eyes and after designing & casting 3 identical love rings for my daughters I gave it up! |

They are nice, are they casted ? I used to make replica armour in GRP, old mix bronze powder into the gel coat, and when it was cured brush with wire wool , very realistic . I also did replacement parts for the statue of Robin Hood at Nottingham Castle when the bronze bow & arrow were nicked (Several times!) |

I like to write screenplays. I’ve sold 4 short screenplays so far, finished 1 feature which I hope to sell one day.
Also started writing kids picture books, no idea how to try and sell them though. |

Would love to get myself a lathe and try some wood turning. What’s sort of things have you made in the past? |

I love making cider … and now i have a still to turn some of it into apple brandy ( calvados )
I make bread too which I do enjoy doing
Some time ago I built my own smoker for fish, cheese , salt, hardboiled eggs ( yes true ) and ham joints … love it
But DIY is something which I enjoy too when you have been in an office for far too long it’s great to use your hands … did I mention the massage! |

Sort of got into drawing designs for tattoos and doing something pencil, taking it through different versions, then using trace paper and ink.
I like doing it, but my skills are okay but I’m not brilliant and it’s good way to unwind |

Used to run a handmade custom dressmaking business. Shut it down the moment it became profitable/viable (and stressful) as it sucked the joy out of my sewing completely.
I paint, craft, sketch, and about 80% of my clothes are either handmade or modified/upcycled from charity shops. |

Music is my big passion. And was my profession for younger me.
I like art but am rubbish in drawing. So it's more the admiring bit.
For the last few years I developed a liking for street art. Mostly documenting but started doing a bit every now and then.

Took a delve into seaglass jewellery too, also a little bit of glass art, moulding and fusing together. Experimenting really.
Pretty much like yourself, just love making things. |
