"It’s Been a While, But I’m Still Here — A Listening Ear This Christmas"
Hey everyone,
It’s been a while since I last posted here, but I wanted to come back—especially at this time of year. Christmas can be magical, but it can also be really tough. There’s this expectation for everything to feel warm, joyful, and perfect, but for so many of us, it’s a season that brings up loneliness, grief, or just an overwhelming sense of pressure.
I’ll be honest, I’m not in the best place mentally myself right now. The festive season doesn’t always make things easier. But one thing I can do is be here, to listen. Sometimes, just knowing someone is on the other side of the screen can help a little.
So if you’re struggling—whether it’s because the holidays are triggering something for you, or you’re just feeling low—I’m here. Share if you want to, or just know that you’re not alone in feeling this way.
Let’s hold space for each other. No pressure, no expectations—just a safe place to be real about how we’re feeling this Christmas.

To be fair, if you are a good listener, you might want to employ that particular skill, in a more structured environment, like the Samaritans or a homeless shelter. You never know how much people struggle, until you’ve volunteered in one of these worthy institutions. |
