Red ties are good if you're going for a job in sales. .Blue ties are good if you're going for a professional position. ..yellow and orange should be worn if it's a job in design or similar field of work ...don't wear brown or green ties xx |

Sounds fine apart from a red tie something muted or blue is better and may appeal to an employer more. Just remember to clean your shoes as its something I and many do notice and good luck. |

Was also thinking - make sure that you are comfortable with what you wear as well as your haircut, aftershave, ironed shirt etc. Maybe rehearse it a couple of days before with a friend.
If you are comfortable it is easier to be confident and if you are confident it is easier to be successful. Best of luck |

Make sure it is the correct size, if you feel too hot take the jacket of and hold it just remember it might be cool enough to wear a jacket in the hallway but under interview pressure it's always hotter.
I would suggest if the interviewer doesn't have a jacket take yours of and place it behind your chair , it shows confidence in removing and also shows that you are willing to fit in with others
Make sure you wear plent of anti perspirant and if your prone to cold sweats prior to interviews , take a small towel and dry off a few mins before you go in make sure it's an old one and if you don't get the job you can always use it to block the toilets with
One thing I have found off putting with larger guys or girls in an interview is sweat , if you think that's going to happen put your shirt on outside in the car park i. Especially if your walking or getting public transport , get it laundered correctly by a dry cleaners and you get a free hangar and cover for it . Even if its a brand new shirt
Remember appearance is everything. And no matter how hard you try that shirt will look like a dishrag within 5 minutes of wearing it
Buy new shoes and if your getting a white shirt make sure that is also new, try to get one that you can put cuff links on, everyone has a suit even if it was bought for when they were last in court, but not everyone has cuff links. Be mindful of touching your face and not do it
Don't wear red if you play golf wear your golf club tie, people who play golf well are a good asset even if your rubbish but don't mention it unless you have a handicap . |
