It is an abhorrent case and no doubt in my mind the sentences for the vast majority of them was too lenient.
But, the most important thing here is to recognise the sheer bravery of Gisele to stand up in court and recount everything. |

Gisele Pelicot absolutely did right thing and it’s a really sick and twisted situation that her ex-husband created and for so many men to have went along with it is just dreadful and horrid.
Removing someone’s capacity through the drugs and subjecting to things they wouldn’t consent to, is just beyond of words in how awful it is and a grim indication of how men can be, in terms of the co-accused and their part in it.

The crazy thing is that there’s plenty of men on fab who try and manufacture a similar scenario for their wives.
I’ve had so many messages over the years, from men who say “meet my wife in a bar when she is intoxicated, don’t mention this site, she’s not into it”.
There’s a lot of men out there who see women as nothing but an accessory to their own fantasies. It’s gross.
Hopefully this case shocks a few more husbands into behaving properly |

The main concern still with these horrendous events is that over 90 men are seen on video but only 51 could be identified. So far too many are free, at the moment.
However, we have to ask how many times did the husband not video his evil deeds???
The only solace we can take from the husband's 20 year sentence is he is 72 years old. |

It kinda goes with the other story from Scotland yesterday of the man who got 21 years in prison for sexual assault by “stealthing” (taking off a condom during sex and continuing without consent)
And the amount of men I have seen tried to pull that trick in a club and feign innocence when called on it…. |
