"I'm not feeling in the slightest bit festive, Christmas cringe music and shit everywhere..
Why do we continue to celebrate it when it's a load of bollocks!?"
Plus half the aisles in supermarkets etc are just filled with 'seasonal / festive' plastic tat and gaudy shit 😔 |

I’ve never been particularly festive and I always spend the day on my own, but I don’t mind it being on in the background. I can put up with music, lights and joy if I have to and I’m going to enjoy 17 days off work this year.
Might have a special wank. |

"You clearly need a festive iced nutcracker latte ,a chocolate marzipan bar and then sit in a room full of fairy lights and watch bad moms Xmas.
Ho ho ho!
"
If it wasn't for Christmas we would not get this little ray of sunshine. Just think about that! |

Have you tried the Aldi chocolate coated praline marzipan bar? It's just amazing. |

Celebrate or not celebrate, spend the day how you wish too. Christmas doesn't seem to be a true celebration anymore it's a brand to be marketed.
I love Christmas though, great excuse to chill with family and I love presents and dinner
I work in a day Nursery and it's lovely this time of year, fun and a good excuse to wear a Christmas jumper |

Absolutely. A 6 day leak from upstairs ruined 2 rooms at mine and all the christmas presents I bought amongst other stuff. Then last week in Central London my phone and all bank cards and ID were nicked and no way to get home - just me and my toddler stranded in the city in the evening.
Yep right about now christmas can fuck off.
This is the first christmas I've made an attempt to be a part of it - tree, presents etc |

You don't have to celebrate it. Christmas can be a difficult, shite, lonely (and various other things!) time for people. Spend the day doing what you want.
For those who do celebrate it? It's not bollocks. There are as many reasons as to why some do enjoy it as there are why others don't. I love this time of year. |

Scrooge. No one makes you, FYI."
A surprising number of people try to make you.
Source: my life.
I don't celebrate it - I usually read a book. I also don't make anyone not celebrate it. But from September to late December people get up in my business.
I'd rather read. Genuinely. |

I like Christmas. Not a fan of the music but I enjoy the time off and the opportunity to celebrate. Winter would be dark and long without the light of Christmas to break up the monotony.
New Year’s on the other hand. I’m not a fan, the pressure to go out and be overcharged for everything. The feeling that you must have a good time. I’ve had better nights out on a Tuesday in May. |

My parents used to tell me about the old days when Christmas was just a half day off and Hogmanay and New Year was the proper holiday.
Probably a good thing we all get more public holidays but only pleasure for me is seeing the kids with presents. |

Because we are programmed to receive the information rammed down our throats by the conglomerate's,
Take Halloween and Easter as additional examples |
