Each month my phone data is renewed.
I'm given 150Gb. I ALWAYS have over 149Gb left. I've asked about transferring and giving it away to someone that needs it or has to buy it, but no, Vod_phone can't do that.
Why can't they?
In this day and age of high-tech, why not?
It makes me boil. |

Your data allowances, served from backend Telco infrastructure, are subject to "thin provisioning". A concept similar to SAN/Storage Arrays and their offerings. Your mobile account is virtually supplied with 150Gb of data, but realistically you're only given a fraction of that, increasing incrementally (depending on policy and usage) until you hit your limit. In the meantime most of your data is held within a central pool by Voodoofone™, distributed across all customers in piecemeal fashion.
It's never wasted. |

The only provider that gives free data allowance is O_2.
They have something called the national databank that will give customers 25Gb data free every month - which is an absplute godsend if you're down on your luck or struggling financially. |
