What is it with people you've met more than a few times then try talking to them online they read your message and don't reply.
Ok your silence says it all.
Does anyone else have/had this problem 🤔 |

I assume one of two things….
They’re either busy and will reply when they can.
Or, they’ve lost interest and have moved on.
Either way, I leave the ball in their court, but never close off contact completely.
You never know what’s going on in peoples lives away from here. |

I totally understand this and I've decided if they want to talk I'll let them message first from now on, I never close anything off completely.
Thanks for replying |

People can have their own shit going on and you should give people the benefit of the doubt, but ultimately if the way they're acting is making you feel bad and you've validated that you're not "hounding" them then it's possibly time to move on yourself.
You don't have to tell them, or block them (unless you don't trust yourself), but you can make a mental note that this is what it feels like after investing time in them, and that you don't want to feel like that anymore.
That's all said with no judgement on either of you, they aren't doing anything wrong (necessarily) and you may need a bit more attentiveness than being left on read 🤷 |

I've had it years ago with someone on my friends list. I met them a couple of times and then they went silent and didn't respond to messages.
I unfriended them, because my list is short and for people I keep in touch with.
About a year later they messaged me as if we'd never met or spoken before, instant delete..
Now if that happened I'd put a private note on their profile, I'm always wary of anyone who goes quiet whilst chatting now and soon stop engaging.

" I do that too...absolutely love that option to leave private notes... just a small reminder for yourself like. |
