On the BBC news a report on many many people having their insurance claims rejected in one case the wind speed was 1 mph below the scale they set.
Also as always the old " a well maintained and looked after" property to qualify.
It's fucking daylight robbery I had a claim rejected a few years ago for a roof leak because they said that my roof felt was over ten years old,I argued that who on earth changes their roof felt every ten years and why do manufacturers give a 25 year warranty on some membranes??
They said that the small print states that roof leaks only paid for if roof felt is below ten years.
And the same with all these people who have had claims rejected saying that their wind speed monitor has recorded a speed below the set minimum.
I'd be asking for proof that the wind speed monitor is working correctly by an independent person and that it's in a correct location not hidden behind a wall or something.
Time to rise up against these thieving bastard's.

I used to do repairs following insurance claims and I agree it was always people who knew how to play the system who got the most, whilst honest people are the ones as you say paying the bills.
