My wife and I gave up on the overhyped expectations of New Year out about 25 years ago in favour of spending the evening at home with a good movie, warm drinks, and the company of one another.
They have always been the best New Years.  |

I know a few people happy with the extra money in their wages.
Other than that, I agree. An extra-layer of overpriced nonsense to go with the residual overpriced nonsense.
Sure I'd love to pay £20 for a pre-made frozen 'Daiquiri' in a paper cup, let the fun commence. |
