Who loves a good civilised bus or train trip to a gallery or something ? It’s so relaxing after road tripping & camping,. What’s your favourite galleries, museums , exhibitions etc you’ve been to ?

I love photography exhibitions, but today I’m on a bus to the Louvre at Abu Dhabi to see an exhibition of post impressionist paintings….

I love a train journey to a destination. Bus ride not so much as I get motion sickness.

My favourite so far was the fans starwars exhibition in London last year. The collection of stuff they had procured was amazing, got tons of photos and got to sit in Palpatines chair and on a stormtroopers speeder 🥰

Bus, train, plane...hate them.

A confined space with people. Lots of people and I can't escape.

Same.

If I can’t drive myself, or walk. I don’t go.

Avoid public transport to be honest

I’m

More of peace and quiet than busy places with lots of people

That sounds fun. London is great for this kind of thing, so much going on. I prefer trains too but bus was the only option from Dubai to AD & I didn’t want to drive.

It’s not that bad, it’s not Ryanair!

Noise cancelling headphones and a book, you could be anywhere you imagine…..

I find galleries quite serene & peaceful. I do think you have to choose carefully, some of the popular ones like in Amsterdam or just pure stress, I am no fan of crowds myself.

So relaxing, not having to navigate or worry about parking or anything, just enjoy the journey, or have a nap!

Why do bus trips stop when we leave school, we should have a bus turn up at work and take us out to museums, geography sites etc

I used to work for a company that did that, we went to flamingo land once , we could all take our partners & alcohol was allowed too. Maybe should you start it in your company !

I hate public transport vehemently and violently. It's an ordeal, a trial every time I travel. It's so ridiculous to have to rely on staff to deign to help me and they can (and do) refuse. Other people on the public transport are ignorant as fuck and I can only travel in a very specific compartment. If on a decent train, e.g. Avanti to London, I can't get to the shop/café. I have to ask other people to go for me. I sit near the toilet and it stinks. I can only travel backwards on buses, which I hate.

Hate, hate, HATE public transport.

Like galleries and museums so long as they're genuinely accessible and I don't have to perform some kind of circus trick to get through the tradesman's entrance.

Yeah I can imagine it’s a real challenge to travel. Even by car when they close all the car park entrances at night except the car ramp & the lifts don’t work hey ! ☹️

Yep! You've seen the challenges and I'm even less able/independent at the present compared to that.
