Any advice? Has anyone ever been able to stay amicable while sorting finances.

I'm not sure meditation will help but anything is worth a go 👍

Personally I'd just tell him it's down to the solicitors though, and refuse to discuss it otherwise.

It's very difficult especially if kids are involved ,I just walked away ,I had no choice but I guess even if you ended it you are entitled to half, having said that he would have to sell the house he lives in in order to do it and ultimately not be able to afford to buy anywhere else and if you get the legal profession involved you'll both have even less to share .Do you get on at all?

I went through mediation on the grounds that it would stand me in better stead when it ended up in court, as I knew she would take it there.

So don't give up on it if only for that reason.
