Why do some people have multiple accounts?
I understand couples having a singles account as well but not singles having more than one
I take in you’d need 2 email accounts (I don’t actually know), but I guess then one account could verify another, not sure why you would 🤷🏻
So yes, why have more than one account and do you think you should be able to? |

I’ve seen many multiple accounts, the only difference on them is 1 is Bi, the other is straight, so it depends on who they’re messaging I guess.
They appear online at the same time, so very easy to spot |

I've certainly encountered single female profiles which turn out to be men, or MF couples. Couples profiles where 1 party is never available (if they even exist), straight profiles who claim to be bi. Single bi women who suddenly only play alongside male partner.
Some people will pretend to be all sorts of stuff to get what they want. |

I've no idea if the plan was to remove competition. I'm just quoting what they themselves said in conversation. One person admitted to doing it and asked if anyone else did likewise. A number of others said they had been doing it for years while some said they had never thought of it but it seemed like a good idea.
I've no doubt men are doing exactly the same but I've never seen any admit it publicly.
My only personal experience of these multiple accounts is receiving messages from women I've never spoken to before carrying on a conversation I've never had with them but have had with someone else I had been chatting to for many months.
The only way they could have known the content of those conversations was if they were running both profiles.
When challenged they disappeared. |

Some people use more than one account for different purposes: one main account (BAU) and another to organise socials or events.
I don't see the issue with multiple accounts as long as you're not using it for nefarious purposes or to contravene Fab restrictions. |

We have access to 5 accounts! As well as our couple profile, we both have our original singles ones, both hidden, and we now have two social events profiles which we share access with the other organisers!
There can be many reasons for having multiple accounts, not all sinister! |

I know one who have two profiles; one for when he is at his home location and another for when we convene in Hull with our wide circle of friends. Nothing sinister though and he has his face pic on both accounts.
It's just to help his Fabmin for the circle of friends in each location and when doing who's near.
As I say, It's nothing sinister but I appreciate there are those who are far less ethical in their use of dual accounts. |

I get why there are genuine reasons for more than one account but I think most are for (to steal a word from a previous poster, which incidentally, I think should be ‘the word of the day’ for Tuesday), nefarious reasons. |

When I first joined I was messaged by a woman who got increasingly nuts in her messages until I blocked her.
The next day I got a torrent of very unpleasant insults from her via a different account. I then blocked that, but it was a bit disconcerting. |

I can hardly manage one account, let alone multiple. But it reminded me of a recent situation when I received a message from someone and I went straight to block them as clearly we were not compatible, but he could have known that if he only took his time to read my profile.
Next day I received the most disturbing message calling me out for my unspeakable behaviour so I blocked him on the other account and reported both. I think he must have reported me as well as I can’t see both accounts anymore, how dare I be so rude

I have this one and my couple one.
There's a woman in my area who has 2 single profiles. V similar pics, different ages and name, I've no idea why as both are v well verified.
I sometimes think they use them for stalking people, or to get round blocks. Especially if the profile is very vague /has no pics on, so they're not recognised. |

The site is used by people. I started typing further and then deleted several additions to this statement but the reality is that this is the only explanation you need. Various people, at various times, and for various reasons, have done everything from sacrificing their own lives to save a stranger through devoting all their spare time and money to helping others as well as lie, cheat, steal, r@pe, murder and torture.
On a list of the wide and varied behaviour of people, a second account on a swingers site used to create drama isn't enough to raise my eyebrows.
As for the "integrity of the site" I'm not sure what that is even meant to mean.
