So i was chatting with a lady friend here, who gave me an idea of what her DM looked like. She had almost 300 messages on her inbox and more kept pouring in by the seconds (mostly from single guys and some couple).
She told me she had almost 700 that was deleted just a week ago
I mean, I knew women get overwhelming messages, but I didn't imagine it to be that much.
For guys here always moaning about your messages not being replied. Here lies your answers. 😂🤣😅🤣😂.
Ladies, please give us an idea of what your inbox looks like.

I cannot wait for the aforementioned ladies to close their filters, raise their drawbridges and lower their portcullises...so that I may reconvene some of the most ardent and flirtatious dialogue that I've come to expect of them.

I have my filters on the majority of the time, I do lift them in the early evenings for a few hours, then get up 100 messages, most just say along the lines of ‘hey xxxx’ ‘sexy xxx’ ‘amazing bum’ & that’s it, out of those 100, I may reply to the 1 that’s made an effort with their message & profile, but it rarely goes further than small talk. |

Zero.
It's not hard at all to keep numbers fairly low, if you're moaning you have hundreds and they just keep coming, maybe it's time to put the brain in gear and use the filters the site has.

There are not many eligible to contact you if your age range is set at 99 to 99!

I put filters on when my messages get to a certain amount. I could just leave them and then moan I have hundreds, maybe next week.

Blanket rules
Before I’ve even opened the message….
No public pics or only dick pics - insta delete
Blank or sparse bio - insta delete
Something off putting in pics - insta delete
Something off putting in bio - insta delete
That accounts for maybe 98%
Then I open what’s left. Most of those will be either 1 word or some crap about them staying nearby… as if proximity to their cock is the key
Those get binned too.
The final few messages are usually other forumites, ladies or guys I chat to socially or one of those very very rare messages that is worth my time to reply to.
If I didn’t do blanket rules I’d need to use my filters and block all guys from messaging - which I do occasionally (or hide my profile).

An ex partner of mine was a page 1 fabbed pics regular. If she posted a pic she would often recieve over 800 messages in a few hours. As mentioned above many would be simply Hi, delete. Or phwrooar type stuff. Most would be rubbish, some amusing and the odd one or two of interest.
But the pain was finding those one or two amoungst the rubbish.
I totally understand how decent messages get missed and the sheer admin involved and genuinely laugh at those who say, why cant ladies simply reply if they are not interested, its only manners!

This is why I mainly have my filters up. Because I get enough nice messages where people have taken the time to read my profile and then I don't have the head space or time to reply. And I feel bad. |

I have a few conversations going but other than that I don’t get many messages, no more than maybe 5 new per day, and most from people who didn’t read the profile. Filters and pre blocking is enough. |

I came back a month ago to see if I was ready to start meeting again. I had 40 messages within 20 minutes and very quickly decided I was not able to cope with it. I'm back to not answering messages because it's just too overwhelming |

None at present as I am not looking for anything currently. Only messaging with my partner on here and some friends.
From time to time, I still get an odd message or two, and some get really arsey with me when I reply to remind them my profile was clear I was not looking. It's their own fault for casting a very wide net rather than specifically targeting people they are interested in. I usually chuckle to myself at all the ones saying "I find your profile very interesting/I read your profile" as they very clearly didn't.
Some messages go straight in the "blocked" list with no reply as they are just awful. |

2 at the min.
I use thr filters.
Following that can whittle it down fairly quick once I view their profile.
I'm picky and this helps.
I would guess if I get 100 messages, 98 of them could be deleted.
Women receiving 100's of messages can be avoided. Just saying 😏 |

I always check a senders profile before the message too, if I don't like it, I don't tend to answer.
On some messages you can see what they say without even opening them ie hi, hey, you free now. Delete.
As some of the others have said, most messages are deletes, as they have dick pics in, are crude or they've clearly not even had a skim of my profile.
Filters are there to stop anyone getting over run with messages, so unless you like getting inundated, you don't have to. |
