Favourite breakup songs.?

Spoken word wise and the fact that I think Eddie Vedder has one of the best voices. Also having been through a gut wrenching breakup, where you see it coming but can't do anything as there isn't anything wrong per se, just wrong time, you feel more than they do, https://youtu.be/THD-U1B-Jtc?si=W8-R0Ay3Fd2_qQBe I am unlucky to have had this once and am careful as I used to break up with women in my youth with little thought, but I spoke to an ex my Chance a few years ago. I knew through a friend of a friend (she lived abroad) that she had a baby so I sent her a congratulations. I didn't expect anything but a thanks, I had sadly unwoken something and she told me it took her three years to get over our breakup. We were close and at the end I left the country so I moved on. Break ups can be the best thing for everybody. But once it's hurt so much it burned and to think I at the best time of a woman's life reentered someone's life and stirred unwanted emotions makes me think more about the type and ways of being. Not promising the world. |

Dry your eyes - the streets.
That song came out just after an ex broke up with me. Every time I heard it, would hit hard and feel raw as fuck with every word.
A great song and I smile every time I hear it now but killed me at the time. |

Odyssey - If you’re looking for a way out
This is my ultimate breakup song for all the feels.
Others include:
Snow Patrol - You could be happy
Stay - Rhianna & Mikky Ekko
Kate Bush - This Woman’s Work
Stevie Nicks - Has anyone ever written anything for you
Dido - Here with me
Goo Goo Dolls - Iris
Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper - I’ll never love again
Andrea Botcelli & Sarah Brightman - Time to say goodbye
And the list could go on, and on! They’re not necessarily breakup songs, just romantic songs that make me emotional.

"Thin Lizzy - Still in Love With You (preferably live version, much moodier guitar solo!)"
One of my favourite Lizzy tracks. Great guitar, great vocal, great lyrics.
On the same vein, same band, Romeo and the Lonely Girl.
