Yeah that's right I brought it up!

Anyway this is less about the musical and movie and more about the book.

So I was told to read it by a friend, which I'm not reading I'm audio booking it, deal with it.

Anyway so within the first 1-2 chapters they talk about adultery, some dude has been banging a mother and daughter!

Then the very next chapter talk about killing a baby, multiple times.

I was told it's quite dark in comparison to the musical/movie but I was expecting just a little bit of violence.

From what I've seen on FB you've seen nothing yet. There's been warnings everywhere as it is being stock in some shops as a children's book!

Has inspired me to read it at some point lol

Just got through a part, some woman was enjoying her tits being exposed and then having an affair describing how it makes her feel, among other things.

I read this book when it first came out, I can't remember any of this, need to read it again.

As soon as K mentions the dirty bits, you’re interested. 🤣

I know, I can't remember any of it, but tbh, I don't really remember much about it at all, so maybe I didn't like it? I can't remember 🤷‍♀️ but yes, the naughty bits have made me want to read it again!

I just looked up some of the "trigger warnings"... I think the sexy parts are the very least of my worries when it comes to dark themes of this book.

Got to the bit with the massive gangbang in it yet? Yeh, it's definitely been toned down for a more general audience.

Not at all. I'm trying to work out how somebody read it and thought "that would make a great musical" but they did it to be fair.

The only thing I remember about it was thinking it was a bit dark, I'm sure I liked it at the time, don't think I'll bother with the film tho.

Let's put it this way.

I used to use the comparison scale between wizard of Oz and Return to Oz when it came to describing how dark something is in its themes. Wicked (book) certainly goes beyond Return to Oz
