Two children are chosen to stand up and all the others put their heads down with their eyes closed and thumbs sticking up. The two left standing must then creep around the desks and gently touch one person each on the thumb. |

Exactly. They would run back to their desk and you had to walk around to see if you could guess who put your thumbs down. |

The teacher chooses 3/4/5 children.
The whole class put their heads down on the table with eyes closed. And poke their thumbs up.
The chosen children go around and squeeze one childs thumb each and then stand back at the front of the class. Once each (chosen) child has squeezed one thumb the teacher tells everyone to raise their heads and any children that had their thumb squeezed to stand up.
If they guess correctly which child squeezed their thumb, then THEY get to do the squeezing in the next round! |

I remember playing it in school, had forgotten how to play though. Some wee smart arse would usually sneakily touch the thumb of the person sitting beside them so they would think they'd been chosen.  |

It was an excellent way for teachers to have a doss lesson last thing on a Friday, or the day after the school staff Christmas party. |
