My home experiences noises, once I'm in bed for the night. Do you get any inexplicable noises?
I'm assuming that it's the building settling down. That heating causes expansion and when it's off, there's contraction. Lots of different materials, their own speeds and sounds, especially as they interact. You could think that someone has perhaps broken in. It can seem w little spooky. |

I have two phones, one upstairs, one in the living room. One evening the living room phone rang and my then GF asked if I was going to answer it. I told her to see who was ringing and she looked and said "Internal call?" That means it is coming from the extension upstairs. The look on her face! I said I never answer in case someone answers! |

"My daughter and I were decorating my son's room, the door kept opening and closing so I said, look, you're either in or you're out, make up your mind... Door stopped lol
Did it stop in or out?"
In, only think that cause daughter felt something nudge her when I was at the other side of the room |

At least you had certainty
I think my home must just be at a certain age, coupled with the seasonal use of heating, that when I turn it off at night, things are thrown into wild abandon, as things contract etc and start to get jumpy. I can start to get a little lumpy too. If I wasn't in the UK, I'd think it's perhaps a raccoon in the attic. Ok, there's greater chance of it being a pervert in the attic, who's drilled holes, to see sexual goings on. I guess ghostly spirits might be interested, should they exist |
