How come clubs are 4x the price of women and couples? Like I get that guys want to go... But why not just limit the amount of guys instead of charging silly amounts?

I assume It's meant to act as a deterrent, if you arent willing to pay then I suppose you have the wrong frame of mind. Just a guess, but that's what I would say.

Carlisle usually

Different clubs have different methods of cutting down the sausagefest, and as a result get different kinds of clientele.

If the higher charges for single men is what works for their demographic, they that is what it is 💜

Could you expand on that a little?

You'd have to ask the club, I'm just guessing why.

Because that's what the market will bare.

It gives a subsidy to the couples and single women so makes the ticket price more attractive for the most desirable clientele.

Men paying high ticket prices are probably more likely to turn up.

All that said I went to a club on Saturday that didn't have a penis tax and it was great. Singles paid €40 and couples paid €35 each.

Most clubs do limit the amount of single men they let in whilst charging a higher amount. Private parties do as well

Sellers market. £40 ain't that steep these days for potentially a great night out

I have wondered that point myself. The justification is usually the prices help to even numbers.

But one can do that by well limiting the numbers, so it doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

For 70% of single men, its a waste of time and money when people won't even conversation with you. Let alone swing.

It’s nothing to do with limiting numbers as clubs have a single male limit for most event’s and generally have more than enough men willing to pay that amount.

It’s supply and demand.

Like fab ratios there are way more men here and clubs discount for those they need to attract.

After all they are businesses and need to make a profit whilst attracting a mixed clientele

Whatever is being charged men, women or couples ... you have to decide if it is worth it because there is no guarantee of sex or any sort of play.

Depends on the club. I totally understand. As a single male it wasn't just the price difference that annoyed me it was the being treated like a second class citizen. I remember one club the male locker room was like a small cupboard with a handful for smaller broken rusty lockers. Then visiting the same club as a couple the couples locker room was like a Palace.

But some clubs are different. For example the Naughty Pineapple (as it's is now) there is just one locker room for all, no pushing guys into the broom cupboard. Has a lot more of an egalitarian feel for all.

As a couple we will go to the clubs that have the best mixture of what we want and the environment/vibe/behaviour of the guests there. However in our experience this is always strickly related to excessive 2 tier pricing and number limits.

So shop around because not all clubs are equal.
