No matter how hard I try it is seemingly impossible to teach my cat to fetch. He's giving me some very funny looks (rightly so to be fair).

my cats fetch......and they are psycic too. they always know when i wat to wake up and tread on a mutilated mouse or when i really fancy cleaning up a mass of feathers

Love cats for this reason. You throw something and they look at you as if to say, 'You threw it, you fucking fetch!'

One of mine does fetch, didn't teach him he just does it and walks to heal, if he gets too far in front I only have to say 'not too far', he'll lie down, roll over and wait for me.

He's also completely bomb proof, take him to the vet, gets out of basket and rolls over on the table.

I got mine to roll over for a treat. She only did it for about 6 months and then looked at me with scorn after that.
