So Christmas is coming

When do you start eating all the Christmas foods and treats and do you have a cut off for eating them, such as the New Year?

Me I’ve started already, it’s becoming an all year event 🤣

blackpool and Manchester

I start eating them as soon as I see them in the shops and stop eating them when they disappear from the shops, same approach applies to creme eggs … my diet never does work well this time of year

Christians cake made, fed and ready to ice when we get back from India next weekend.

Frozen uncooked mince pies. Well break some out and cook on our return.

Here in India where lost a couple of kg each. No desire to put it back on.

I've had mince pies this weekend

So far, I've managed to stay away from the panettone and the stollen bites

There will come a time however...

I visited one of the production sites in work in August and we were churning out mince pies then.

Would've been rude to pass them by.

I am normally waiting for the shops to bring out their posh buffet bits because in December I tend to live off them rather than proper meals. I make the most of them while they're available because come December 29th it all vanishes and the shops fill with diet stuff for the "new year new me" shenanigans.

They make mince pies in August! Do they keep that long?

I opened a box of the minty stick things, whose name has escaped me.

I've eaten about a third of them so far.

Oh yes, the wholesalers start selling them early, retailers not too far behind!

BBE on the early batches will be way before Christmas but people do start eating them early. And by people I mean me.

That's them. I used to munch through a whole box a night. I'm doing well to still have so many left after 3 or 4 days.

. No shame in that.

I suppose hotels and restaurants need them throughout December.

Brie, fucking brie. For some reason this is the only time of the year brie seems to become attractive - and mince pies.
