What are your thoughts on assisted dying being allowed in this country,me I can see the argument for it and against it I think 2 drs and a judge to authorise it with a 6 month time limit is a good safety net

If you have seen the suffering people can go through in their final days then a dignified pain free release is a blessed relief. Safeguards are obviously needed but at least the discussions as to a way forward have started.

I'm 100% for it and think the arguments against all ignore a person's fundamental right to autonomy and self-determination. Or some slippery-slope fallacy about where it will lead.

I'm afraid there's no fence-sitting on this one for me. Forcing people to suffer against their will, for the sentiments and beliefs of others, is something I find to be immoral.

I hope it passes into law.
