Hi not sure if I’m in the right chat room but can anyone recommend a hotel in Birmingham that doesn’t need a card for the lift and is easy to get in 24h for hook ups ? It’s hard having to keep coming down and letting someone in while I’m fully dressed |

I stay in a lot of airbnb's, no hidden cams so far but I always inspect on arrival, easy to find if you know how, I have a tech background, more chance of a hidden cam in a hotel room. It's highly illegal anyways and if it happens, report it and the individual or person/s will be arrested.
Personally, it would turn me on to know people are watching me be a naughty little minx

If you can give a name to the front desk, they will make another key that your guest can collect on arrival. They will ask the name the room is booked under and as you've already to them to expect that person they won't need to jump through hoops. It's a very normal request. |

There's the Britannia Hotel Birmingham City centre (near New Street Station). It's not the most sophisticated of hotels. But last time I experience it there was free reign to access all the Hotel without keys or questions asked. Although it was a while ago so worth just checking before booking (but knowing the Britannia chain I doubt anything has changed. |

Ibis Birmingham centre, Irving street. It has a chalet, American motel vibe where you access each of the rooms from the outisde.
The main gate only locks at night. Doesn't seem to be showing up on their website though, dunno if thats a temp glitch as there's reviews from 2 weeks ago. |

Once you arrive connect to the AirBnB WiFi and download Fing™ network tool. It has a port scanner/sniffer that will find any cameras installed within the premises. It's not infallible but it's start. |
