Most anti virus packages cost money with annual renewal fees and the free versions of them don't give full protection.
My business does computer repairs and for our customers we install free of charge "Microsoft Security Options" which you can dowload for free if you simply Google it.
We tested it against several of the chargeable packages including AVG, Norton and Bullguard and found it to be as a minimum as good and in some cases better than the equivelents.
I wouldn't think of using any other option nowadays. |

"MSE. You wouldn't even know it was running. In my opinion as Microsoft wrote windows they'll know how to protect it better."
Any proper computer tech will always say MSE, since it's last itteration AVG is not terribly well thought of.
For Gods sake don't let anyone convince you to try even a trial of Norton.

Norton is the biggest pile of shite ever. I've never known anything slow down a PC as much as Norton did when I tried it.

correct, and MSE does let virus's in both laptop and my dads pc had them last year, had to wipe pc and just about recovered Laptop. since using avg and malwarebytes had no problems, look at installing hitman pro as well as great if ever anything slips through. |
