When is it acceptable to put outdoor Christmas lights up?
Walking home from the train station tonight and saw three houses with them already up in the village, far too early imo, it’s still November! |

Why should the Christmas joy be kept under lock and key until Decemeber?
If the lights and decs make people happy then good on them
Christmas comes and goes too bloody quickly in my opinion and making things Christmassy from November onwards is totally acceptable

Pretty indifferent. However this year my little girl is noticing then and provides entertainment on long commutes. So I'm all for them now
(Incidentally I won't be putting up a christmas tree myself, I never have so still retaining some of the bah humbug about me). |

Whilst I won’t be putting up my decorations until about mid-December, I see nothing wrong with tolerating people putting theirs up when they want. If it’s what makes them happy in this battle called life, who can begrudge them that? |

One of my neighbours had the full monty of outside flashing lights and an inflatable Santa two days after bonfire night. Unless someone is dying and won't make it to Christmas its a bit early really! |

Do you own a supermarket chain by any chance? On a similar note it won't be long before "Black Friday" simply means "November".
