Having never seen the show or even The Wizard of Oz for that matter I thought I'd give the new Wicked a crack after rave reviews.
I mean it's good, bright, well acted (feel like the score is pretty mediocre however). Just the 2 part aspect feels like an unnecessary Hollywood money grab. In 2hrs 40 mins surely the stage show could have been condensed into 1 film. Or maybe I'm missing the point entirely? |

Ha, the original film and book has just passed me by. Haven't ever given the stage show a second thought. With all the positivity around this film I wagered it'd be worth a watch. It is probably, just not sure I'd wait in antipation for part 2. |
