I really think people overthink the first message thing.
The first thing to understand whatever your message they'll look at your profile. If they like your profile they won't need much of a message to be intrested in return. Likewise if they don't like your profile it doesn't matter how much time and effort you put into a message. The moral of the story is concentrate your efforts on a cracking profile. Then just send a simple, short, freindly hello type message and let your profile do the talking?
Second thing just don't put dodgy stuff and dick pics in your opening message. Again keep it simple and freindly and totally not creepy or over familiar. |

They like the look of you, a simple hi could work.
They don't reply because they don't like the message, it's probably just you.
