Is Max’s dominance boring or do we suddenly not mind one man dominating

"Was a decent race. Good to see the mercs suddenly working."

Only works in the cold, Spa, Britain, vegas. Will be back to terrible again next week 🤷🏽‍♂️

I feel a shame for Lewis, ending his Merc life like this but it’ll be mega next year to see him in red.

I think next season looks more exciting. We might have a new f1 champion. 🤞🏾

I have a good feeling about Charles’s luck

Hopefully with the changes proposed for next year red bull slide down the table and we get a change to champion next year, I hope

Pre season testing will be eagerly awaited, see who has produced a decent car. Currently looks like, mclaren, merc and ferrari are looking good, plus Max.

I didn’t watch it as I am not a massive fan of street circuits. Will get it on catchup but sounds like it was pretty pedestrian?

He really is.

Hopefully his move to Ferrari will be a fitting end to his career.

While he's very good he's certainly not the goat. Too many years in utterly dominant cars has given him very inflated stats, but he's been beaten by Russell 2 years out of 3. And his qualifying performance last weekend was woeful.

He's certainly no jim Clark.

but every champion was in a dominant car or at least one of maybe 3 top cars , the man would have 8 titles if Michael Masi didn't screw him over and he's car wasn't Dominant in 21, Sir Hammy is the goat for sure, but will most definitely be if he lands one while at Ferrari.

Lol. Yes most drivers have dominant cars. But not for so many years or with the margin Lewis has enjoyed. Nico and Lewis 2.2 and 1.8s up on 3rd place at spa in 2014 for example.

As for 21, nothing to do with masi. Lewis crashed out at Baku and imola all by himself, underperformed at several races like 7th at Monaco, 4th at Austria and couldn't even beat a Williams at spa. Contrast that with max who was 1st or 2nd every race.

Lewis was only in with a shot at the title because he and bottas had taken max out of 2 races. Max also had a dnf because of a puncture. Look at the whole season instead of blaming masi for just 7 points.

He's certainly not the goat.

Brazil until the last lap Lewis completely dominated Max. Max completely bottled, tried taking Lewis out, tried brake testing, got shoddy penalties that should have been DSQs and most importantly benefitted from a decision that shouldn’t have been made in the final race which he was out performed in. Lewis should have won the championship it’s as simple as that. It was taken from him by a race director that didn’t follow the rules properly.

Prior to Latifi’s crash which should’ve wrapped up the title for Lewis, Horner said to sky sports ‘were going to need a miracle’ such was the level Lewis drove at. Without any help from anyone else might I add.

By the way after that race Newey said to Sky sports red bull had the better car over the season.

But AMuS, toto wolff, Andrew shovlin, and all respected pundits including Mark hughes and Gary Anderson said the merc was faster over the season.....

The only person who has ever said rb were quicker was newey, who just might be biased lol.

Max didn't bottle anything at brazil. He hung on against the spicy engine way longer than expected, a tried every trick in the book and a few out of it to stay in front. He drove a far more consistent season than Lewis. 1st or 2nd every race, no underperfornances, no solo crashes. A far more deserving champion than Lewis.

As for ad well worth remembering that Lewis had a reprimand and 10 place grid penalty for blocking mazepin in practice overlooked, and was allowed to leave the track and gain an advantage at turn 1. So plenty of things went in his favour, as well as the safety car that didn't.

Remember too he had crashed out at imola but was rescued by a crash and red flag. I bet you didn't complain about that saving him 18 points but you will cry a crash and safety car cost him just 7 at ad.

Again he made too many mistakes over the last season and was only in with a shot because of max's bad luck.

Definitely no Jim Clark....

ahhh lol you have lost me now,, Max literally parked a car on another drivers head ,got out and walked off, diamond elbows max and you are defending him as some clean cut driver, the man is dangerous,,,

The Goat will be the goat in your eyes when he has ,8? 9? Or will you go to 10?.

Loving your responses here, it brilliant to see well rounded reasoning backed up with real evidence rather than some emotional fan gushing.

Certainly no Jim Clarke as you rightly say.

Iv never defended max as z clean cut driver. But the incident you refer to the contact was rear wheel to rear wheel. Don't know how you could intentionally end up on top of another car like that. He was in the wrong to try it there though, and got the penalty for it. He walked off because Lewis was going backwards and forwards trying to free his car, so was clearly OK.

The fact remains Lewis has had a dominant car for many seasons, way more than any other driver and as such has over inflated stats. I would look at how he has performed rather than number of championships, and that has often been scrappy- like being beaten by Russell 2 years out of 3.

Moss never won any championships yet is still regarded as one of the best, so number of titles isn't really a measure.

Difficult to think of him as the goat after yesterday's performance.

He actually wanted to retire the car!

Difficult to think of Pep Guardiola as the goat after this season.

Years of having a dominant team finally been figured out.

I love watching the Max fans Vs Lewis fans more than I love watching the racing. The entertainment of it is delightful.

Just spouting the same old guff back and forth in circles. A lot like watching the racing.
