It's not recommended, but I've been doing it for years. As long as you're careful you should be fine.
If I get the regular strength version, I leave it on the area for a maximum of 10 minutes, then I remove with exfoliating gloves in the shower |

I used to shave my head OP. like Mach3 shave,
Years ago my sister suggested veet,long story short I didn't make it out that night, and I couldn't shave for about 2 weeks after, looked like yer man that came out the van covered in acid in RoboCop,,

It’s trial and error as different creams work for different people, personally use nair works well for me on any part of my body , so if one cream stings or doesn’t work for you another might .
And we all remember the Amazon review that went viral, just didn’t work for him |

Yes OP it's fine I've used veet for years. cover balls pubic area and arse crack if you want leave on for no less than 5 but no longer than 10 minutes use the plastic wipe thing then wash and your feel as smooth as silk with no itchy rash as hair starts to grow back. |
