just seen all this on the stoke forum and looked on youtube, they have 2 very clear angles

its a disgrace

he should have been banned permanently for his racist antics with evra but this is something else!

he will probably claim that it is some way of saying hi in Uruguay!!

he should most definetly be removed from pfa player of the year shortlist, we will end up with kids thinking this is acceptable

its a real shame he is hugely talented and could be mentioned with people such as messi and ronaldo, very similar too a certain balotelli, however he seems to be taking grip of himself

rant over!!!

Im surprised the player bitten didn't punch him. He wouldn't have done that to the likes of Mark Dennis, Mick Harford or Roy Mcdonnagh. Those hard bastards would have laid him straight out on the floor.

Suarez should be banned for the rest of the season and part of next.

Liverpool should be fined or points deducted and the game awarded to Chelsea. Shouldn't have been on the pitch.

Ref may not have seen it, but assistant was in perfect position.

And what did ref say to him anyway ? That needs looking in to as well.

Until the FA get their heads out of their backsides and start coming down hard on clubs as well as players, it will never change.

All the shirt pulling etc needs dealing with too. FA doesnt stand for football association in my eyes !!

As a Liverpool supporter I was hoping that however much money was offered for him in the summer, and it will be lots, we would turn it down. Now I believe he has kicked his last ball in a Liverpool shirt. Rogers has said he will look at the incident and think for the sake of the club he will have to do something. He will say he is not up for sale but this will be to get as much as he can for him. There is no place in the game for this.

Yes three to five is acceptable. It was violent conduct no more.

Where and when he done it is completely irrelevant. The fact he done it anywhere is unacceptable and therefore he should be banned. For three to five games.

"Violent conduct is a three game ban , he should get that plus another one or two for the severity of it. No more though. When John Terry kneed that player in the champions league that was as bad. Both sneaky and underhand, but one isn't as bad as the other. A little perspective please.

(I don't support Liverpool or Chelsea)

Perspective is the fact that its not the first time he has done it, perspective is that it was done at home in front of the home fans who were remembering the anniverasry , perspective is behaving in an ungentlemanly conduct.

3 game ban dont make me laugh, 5 game ban even more of a joke !! BANNED FOR LIFE the sensible option.

JT was banned for 12 matches for ALLEDGED racist conduct and you think a 3 - 5 game ban is acceptable ??

And it was not sneaky it was outright blatant !!

Banned for life ??? Now we all know that's a bit unrealistic.

Yes three to five is acceptable. It was violent conduct no more.

Where and when he done it is completely irrelevant. The fact he done it anywhere is unacceptable and therefore he should be banned. For three to five games.

Perhaps you should go and look at the photographs and video footage and then tell a 3 - 5 game ban is acceptable. And im pretty sure the majority on here would want him out of english football and would find a 3-5 game ban totally ridiculous and that includes the Liverpool supporters !! "

I watched the game and have seen the photos on the news. He bit him and should be banned. Violent conduct.

I was just trying to add balance. You can't ban someone for life for biting.

Far worse things happen on a football field. Two footed knee high challenges for instance. Suarez is a horrible little shit but a lifetime ban for violent conduct is very OTT.

He will possibly move on in the summer anyway as he certainly won't be getting any champions league football in Liverpool.

I won't miss him that's for sure, but the same could be said for most of today's footballers.

biting someone is violent conduct so he should get 3-5...

but relating it to the JT incident is madness..... trying to clear JT is sad..

he did say it.... and thats what the FA banned him for... it just wasn't enough to find him guilty in a court of law.... so he isn't as innocent as some are making him...

Like i said BAN HIM FOR LIFE !!!! end of. "

Cheating? Like Mata cheated to get Lucas booked....and you didn't lose 2 points cause of Suarez... you actually gained a point cause of Suarez... his handball got you back into a match that you were looking likely to lose after Liverpool equalised . Doesn't Luiz play for Chelsea.... the one who elbowed a player spark out? Doesn't Terry play for Chelsea....the one who stamped on the player in the semi of the champions league and was also banned for being a racist. Suarez was out of order but people in glass houses and all that...

he is only human yes, but he is paid a hell of a lot of money to do his job and plays for one of the most famous football teams in the world.

if you went into work tomorrow and someone from another department pissd you off enoouh to bite them, what d you think HR would be saying to you?

if we let 'stars' lke Suarez to just get away with apoloising after fairly serious incidents like this, what message does it give to young aspiring footballers? 'dont worry if you cheat or act in an inappropriate manner, just say sorry and everyone will forgive you'. doesnt wrk like that, there has to be consequences to your actions and this was a fairly serious action.

also.....do you know how disusting the human mouth is???? that other player needs to go get tested!!

He needs reigning in (no pun intended) pure talent but a twat with it.

Im ashamed to be a Liverpool supporter when the likes of Luis does something totally uncalled for.

But.... There are other players who have done a lot worse!

As I have asked before, which true football fan would turn the likes of Suarez away from being on their team?

For the OP who mentiomed the black armband, get a grip and look up why they were wearing them!

As for those referring to the Evra incident, he was wrong, just the same as Evra was. Evra should have also been penalised (not as bad as Luis, but still action should've been taken). But thats another matter.

Duncan Fergusson served time for a headbutt during a game. Talk of 3 or 5 or 7 match bans seems slightly odd to me. Am surprised no one has complained to the police. I doubt Ivanovic or Chelsea will but wouldn't be surprised if there aren't complaints made and a criminal investigation started. There is not place for biting on a football pitch, in a bar or anywhere else for that matter, it is assault.

As for Suarez, how many times can you say sorry? Without doubt an exceptionally talented footballer, 95% of the time a credit to whatever team he plays for but obviously with more than a hint of malice and madness. I suspect Liverpool will cash in their chips and move him on and while they will never admit it, from a footballing persepctive they will be gutted to see him go.

It doesnt matter which teams were playing or who you support , his actions were deplorable as many pundits , ex footballers and managers fully agree.

The facts speak for themselves therefore he deserves everything coming his way regardless of his apology ( which means nothing )

Banned for the rest of the season minimum whats left of it, and if not kicked out of english football.

End of day f a and clubs have to understand players especially those at top end of their sport whatever it is are seen as role models and this type of thing filters down to kids.

Footballers are overpaid and overrated as it is and why they are mollycoddled so much beats me. Biting is assault fact it was on soccer putch does not change it so coppers should investigate as they would any other away from soccer pitch.

Somehow i doubt either the f a or liverpool will take more than basic action against him. As a minimum he should be put in reserves at least after ban and if unhappy tough shit they can keep his registration so he cant play anywhere else.

Well as your probably aware, I am a Liverpool fan, and while I agree that Suarez does deserve everything thats coming his way following the incident with Ivanovic, one can only conclude that your own posts on this subject have been OTT to say the least.

The facts are that Suarez committed an unusual violent act against another player which wasn't seen by the officials and now the FA will take the appropriate actions against the player.

Ivanovich himself, while drawing the incident to the ref's attention wasn't "injured" in the incident and indeed carried on to play the rest of the match, and will be available for selection in Chelsea's forthcoming matches. Even if Suarez had left bite marks on Ivanovich or broken the skin, while the act itself was unsavoury to say the least, it wasn't and was never likely to be something that would lead to any serious injury to Ivanovich.

Liverpool FC have already fined the player, and the player has asked for the fine to be paid towards the Hillsborough families. I am not so besotted with LFC not to see the PR in that, and as someone who was involved in Hillsborough, while i'd prefer the 2 things to be kept apart, the gesture will be appreciatted though perhaps it would on this occasion have been better to donate the fine to local youth football or something like that.

As for claims he should be "banned for life" or that he should be banned for the rest of the season (4 games I suspect you mean as thats the total number of games left for LFC this season) or as some are saying 8, 10, 12 games or more, those reactions are as rediculous as Suarez's own actions in doing his Vampire impression.

I expect him to get a standard 3 match ban for violent conduct on the playing field, nothing more, nothing less and I say that not because he plays for LFC, but because i genuinely don't think that any player of any club should get more for the gravity of this specific incident. Mind you I guess I'd be joining in with everyone else if it had been a player of another team and why not enjoy the moment while asking for him to be hung drawn and quartered.

Last season in the final match, Joey Barton violently attacked a player, then lost his head and went on a one man rampage attacking anyone in his way till he finally calmed down. His total ban amounting to 12 games if I remember right, but was actually because the 3 individual offences were treatd as 3 seperate sendings off and then had extra games added for all 3 being linked into the one game.

I'm certainly not posting here or anywhere else defending Suarez for his actions yesterday, but the punishment needs to fit the crime and not simply fit an agenda that the suits the mood of the moment.

"It doesnt matter which teams were playing or who you support , his actions were deplorable as many pundits , ex footballers and managers fully agree.

The facts speak for themselves therefore he deserves everything coming his way regardless of his apology ( which means nothing )

Banned for the rest of the season minimum whats left of it, and if not kicked out of english football.

Well as your probably aware, I am a Liverpool fan, and while I agree that Suarez does deserve everything thats coming his way following the incident with Ivanovic, one can only conclude that your own posts on this subject have been OTT to say the least.

As i previoulsy said perhaps my calls for banned for life is a little OTT, however the issue is that it is not the first time he has done it ! Furthermore he has a history of bad conduct etc.

I have tried to remain objective ( difficult i know being a Chelsea fan ) but as far as im concerned there is no excuse , no fine that will make his actions more palatable. A 3 match ban for me is simply laughable.

As for Ivanovic not being injured or able to continue, did you not see him showing the ref the mark on his arm ?? And yet nothing was done, no booking , red card or even a quiet word. Suarez's behaviour during that match was disgusting and definitely not that of a world class player.

Its time an example was made and show the rest of english football that this behaviour will not be tolerated.

Actually from where I was sat on The Kop, no I didn't see it in real time, I only became aware of it when one of the guys got a message on their phone.

As I said I'm not for one second trying to defend nor condone what Suarez did, though to suggest his behaviour throughout the game was disgusting etc ino is incorrect and if you were really trying to be objective you'd then have to include the Chelsea player who elbowed Carragher on the cheekbone.

Chelsea's players, just like Liverpools and indeed for most other clubs, aren't saints. They'll use every trick in the book including foul play, diving, claiming free kicks, throw ins and corners etc. We all defend our teams players even trying to defend the indefensible at times. It would be easy to have a go at John Terry amongst others, but whats the point, he served his punishment for his various crimes but his track record doesn't stand up to close examination, just like Suarez's.

3 games and a fine is imo the correct punishment, Ivanovich has stated he doesn't want any Police action, maybe Chelsea themselves have learnt lessons about raising the profile of incident too high, a certain referee incident comes to mind for example.

I guess by the end of the week we'll all know what the outcome is despite our differing views.

What would you do to the racist bigot adulterer John Terry? Cut his cock of and put it in his mouth and sew it up?

Technically a cannibal eats the flesh of another of the same species and that didn't happen Sunday but you could say Terry will have nibbled on his team mates wives he went down on.

I just checked and Gnasher Suarez wins as he gets bonus points for headbutting a referee and breaking his nose.

The boys at work earlier did say on the positive side Suarez's last min equalizer may push Chelsea out of the Champions league next season. Some are scourers though and they were gloating I think.

Does she work for LFC? If so, its the first time they have cum first at anything for years.

Also, If she does they will be all running around in T Shirts pleading her innocence

To be honest, not a lot. There is just too much money involved in the game now. Winning is everything, how you win takes a back seat. Sadly, its not just football as well
