Has reportedly said that he did not and would not have given permission for his vocals to be used on Band Aid 40

This is because musicians are backing Fuse ODG who has said that the Band Aids message “perpetuates damaging stereotypes that stifle Africa’s economic growth, tourism and investment”

Is this a case of a musician standing up for his thoughts or annoyed he wasn’t asked in advance?

Well, tonight thank God it's him instead of you.

I don't know. I think it's fairly brave of him to speak out though, everyone sees Bandaid as a good thing without questioning it and he's going to get a lot of flack

That was a little nugget of perfection. Thank you.

I won't do a massive essay on this one, but it's something that I feel strongly about.

Does giving massive donations to Africa help it or hinder it?

The answer is both. It helps it in the short term but keeps Africa permanently damaged in the long term.

Giving them money and free food destroys them. Charities won't tell you this because charities are making billions of pounds by being charitable.

Imagine this; you're trying to set yourself up. There's no industry. There can't be any industry because there's no money to set it up. You have to start with agriculture.

Say you have a small farm, you grow many many crops! You spend all summer doing it to make a living... It comes harvest!

You have 500 melons to sell!

Boom! A shipment arrives, paid for by the wonderful UK! 10,000 melons! Free for everyone!

How much are your melons worth? Nothing.

Are you better off for working? No, you're worse off because other people did other things like teaching their children, repairing their shacks, etc.

Those countries are fucked, and while industry can't ever start, it will stay stunted.

If you ask me, these countries need a massive reset.

Basically Ed Sheeran is on a song which doesn’t sound like every other song and isn’t entirely shite, and he’s confused his this happened.
