Christmas Decorations!

We put ours up about a week before Christmas.
We know some people who go all about for Halloween then put the Christmas decorations up as they take the Halloween ones down. I think it's great that they want to put a bit of joy into a dull world |

Oh I go bigger for Halloween than I do for Christmas! My new giant spider web had lights on it this year! |

Well as a very vocal anti Christmas advocate I am happy not to put decorations up unfortunately I have a wife who is still about 8 years old and "wuvs" everything Christmas and as any married man will confirm I will always lose this argument.
With that in mind I've been re insulating the loft which involves me getting all the decorations down.
She suggested that as we have a couple of days off why don't we " put up the decorations today"
I'm usually quite a reserved and patient man however
"FUCK OFF" it's still November FFS |

Cool! I'm a bit lazy when it comes to decorations and I get a bit bored if they're up too long. If someone decorated and took them down for me it would be different |

The weekend nearest the 1st December where the kids are with me is when I put the tree up. This year might be different as hoping to move but it's dragging on so might not be in for Christmas. |

I have a gloriously tacky fibre optic flashy washy plastic Xmas tree that I love.
Ooooohhh...look at da pwetty colours 😍🤩😍🤩.
It went up yesterday, it will stay up until 5th Jan, and it'll be the only Xmas dec I do.
It is enough as it is, because I am enough as I am 💙. |

I live in a small flat so have bought a little 4ft fake tree and some fairy lights. Won’t put it up until mid-December though because I want it to feel like Christmas when I do. I don’t begrudge anyone putting theirs up early, but to me it isn’t the Christmas season until at least 1st December. |

Getting them up this week As it’s most likely my mums last Christmas (I am a carer ) want her to see some vibrancy and fun decorations in the house upstairs as it always makes her smile .
So I think it’s fine to get them up early |
