Hi everyone,
I'm a 33-year-old guy who's been on this site for a few months now. I’ve put some effort into my profile, but I haven’t had much luck so far. I try to keep things respectful and genuine, sharing normal pictures—just my face, fully clothed, nothing explicit—yet I still find it hard to connect with anyone here.
A bit about me: I’m half Scottish, half Thai, and I’ve lived in Edinburgh my whole life. I look quite young for my age, often getting told I look like I’m in my twenties. I’m not overly masculine and tend to act more mature than most people my age. I prefer older women because I feel they’re often more sensible and grounded.
I’m not a party animal—I’m more into casual conversations, banter, and meaningful connections. I’d describe myself as a bit introverted, so this site can feel overwhelming. I’d love to meet someone for light-hearted chats or a coffee, but it seems difficult to stand out among the crowd here.
I’m also pretty submissive, which I know isn’t for everyone, but I thought I’d put that out there. Dating hasn’t been easy for me—I struggle to find the right balance when interacting online, and I know it’s a numbers game for a lot of us.

Don't worry so much about what the masses think, want and feel. Present yourself as YOU want to be seen, not how others want you to be.
You'll attract those who are interested in you, because you're being genuine and not just ticking off boxes. |

OP, I like your profile. It's well written and pleasantly informative. There isn't anything inherently wrong with it; perhaps polish off one or two grammatical anomalies, but otherwise it's all good.

I had an older profile but I wanted to change its name and couldn't do so, so I just made a new one.
I think it was called the Cute Cuddler or the Scottish Cuddler but I thought it wasn't doing well, I mainly ended up meeting people through friends of friends (not from the site), that profile was about 5 months old, unfortunately nobody I met were on this site so no one could even give me a review. I just ended being a FB to friends of friends when they would visit Edinburgh, last one was about 2 and half months ago.
Sadly most of those ppl have either found new FB closer to home or lost contact with my current friends so things have been rather stale for a while.
I have dyslexia so my spelling isn't top notch and I text kinda fast so I may miss spelling things correctly like 'standerd instead of standard' but I'm again here looking for similar things again but a FWB situation would be nicer, I do like a bit of banter and I'm a great emotional buddy for those that need to vent out too. |

Most people are not mutually compatible with most other people. Maybe 1%, if you're lucky. But it takes each of them to like the other and nobody can change that. If you're honest and selling yourself well, then it's about the numbers game and effort |

The profile is sound . To be very blunt fuck it because everyone is not gonna be your audience .
I've chopped and changed a few times on here on the short time I've been on but can honestly say I'm comfortable now and that's what's it's about for me |

Give it time, OP.
It’s a lifestyle so get to socials, engage in the forums, try a club if you fancy it. But getting yourself out there, seen and known, is your best bet.
FAB is complimentary to the lifestyle, not the whole thing, don’t rely purely on FAB. |

similar to what I got told earlier but mine was more frustrated about lack of connection through messaging . It's ass backwards to come on here without doing the social /event scene and that's what I've realised |

Pics 1 and 2 can be improved. You don't look happy in them. Notice that marketing companies, banks, etc always show people looking happy? It's because people are drawn to happiness.
Your profile text, although good contains some stuff that a great number of women will be put off by.
It's great that you're honest, but the reality is that the bi stuff damages your chances with the majority. That being said, you are what you are. It's not a bad thing.
A lot of bi guys make a new profile that implements the "straight" label, then they tone down their bi side to get a bit of foo foo.
Your profile should be accurate according to fab rules though so never do this! |

Hey Op!
This site can be difficult for men to be noticed for various reasons. Being introverted doesn't have to be a bad thing though! Lots of people are, being behind a screen can allow them to have a bit more oomph. Add in you're a younger man with a preference for older and it might be another hurdle.
You say you're "pretty submissive" - have you joined a site that's more kink friendly? I think if you have a particularly strong identity like that, you're more likely to find those who erm "match your freak".
I really wouldn't hide that your bi - fuck bierasure in the hope it gets you, well, fucks. You shouldn't have to do that. You're not compatible with those who'll turn their noses up at it so why hide it? Easy way of not wasting energy.
On to your profile itself. Smiling photos are a good idea - people are more drawn to those who look like they're enjoying themselves (the majority of the time).
I'd avoid capitalising the things you don't like - the only time you do is on the negatives. Why not have that as a discussion you have further down the line?
All that aside, it's well written and informative.
The forums can be great for interacting with people, even meeting people. Socials will probably not be your cup of tea and that's fine.
I think the best thing to do is not place too much importance on the site; it's great if things arise from here, if not? Fuck it. There are other avenues. Stay true to yourself.

Yeah I'm starting to understand this now, there's been quite a lot good feedback here and yeah this site probably better for those with more of a kink factor than someone that's submissive as me, being introverted rather sucks in this day and age.
Unfortunately in Edinburgh there's not a lot specific places that I know of for singles, straight, non handsome, introverted guys.
Well I'm probably gay guys type but I just don't swing that way.
Just had a rather crappy upbringing, which resulted in me looking after my elderly father till his death, so I never had time for a relationship, been on multiple dating apps for about 10 years or so, but it seems it too late for that.

What I would say to all launching such appeals is be very circumspect about having too many of the pre-suggested 'Interests' listed on your profile. Keep it to just the ones that really matter. Too many could infer more than just being broad minded.
