So, I was reading an article this morning about humans using only 10% of their brains. It's only a theory, and to be honest, most scientists dismiss it. However, you know what it's like, you read something and a related issue comes to mind, and so on.
I started reading about this weird occurrence where damage can result in good. It's as if if the brain is damaged, it tries to repair itself. Sometimes when it repairs, it rewires itself with a different set of obsessions or skills.
Some people can have accidents, brain injury but after recovery, they get crazy skills that they weren't aware of.
This is a known thing too. It can also happen at childbirth. Sometimes, some very unfortunate babies can suffer form the likes of HIE - something going wrong with the cord that reduces oxygen supply to the baby's brain. It's really not a nice situation to be in at all, but basically, the baby can somehow repair it's own brain within the first 10 days.
In other words, the brain knows that it's damaged and can repair itself - even if it's days old. Scientists noticed that if you cool the brain, it repairs itself better.
What's fascinating also is that, in some situations, it can rewire itself to give the owner some insane skills.
When you start to become more knowledgeable, you realise how little you know. Even after thousands of years of awareness of the human brain, we've still got no idea what sort of "technology" it is. |

Get your sleep!. The brain works in two modes, data aquisition and data compartmentalising during sleep, removal of builtup metabolic byproducts. Oh and probably fucking comes somewhere in between. |
