"The chinese takeaway down the road from me. They felt crab sticks were real seafood. " I repaired a roof of a unit where they made Chinese dishes for the takeaway industry, it's not freshly made and the same shit up or down the road |

Unless I have to go again, I would avoid the US.
It's always felt a bit "wrong", being built in recent centuries on theft, sl@very, guns, exploitation, bizarre culty-vibes and all that, but it used to have a few redeeming features too.
I can't see or feel those any more. |

To those outsiders - it’s a prison in Glasgow, which by itself is a tough place. But then you get all the hard nuts from a hard city, whose backgrounds are hard, who have an hard existence and don’t hold back and it’s certainly a place for character building and houses some of the toughest and dangerous criminals in Scotland.
Scary place!
I was just visiting- dropping off an urgent box ( long story 100% legit!). |

The deepest depths of grief and despair with the associated depression they can bring.
But Domesticated_Vixen, GymClassDropout and Cinnamon_Flame all make compelling points too!
With places in general though I’m always a little cautious as I’ve been to places and thought they were dire, then either been back under different circumstances, met different people, had different experiences and seen a side I’d missed before. Austin, Texas (and To some extent Dayton, Ohio) and Chennai are both examples of that. |
