I listen to the modern country stuff, there’s a load about god and Jesus, but that’s the backstory to the music sort of thing, not the main point of it

It may just be my inherent hotness, I'll concede.

But too much sacred choral music has a similar effect, and I cool right down again if I listen to goth or death metal 😝

Gospel music is probably the root of alot of today's music so you could be listening to it without realising it.

Some people connect with it some don't.

You certainly don't have to be religious, but just being open to it is a good thing.

If it gives you a feeling of freedom and liberation then it's done it's job.
