We want to book a Xmas get away from the norm for a couple nights but can’t travel too far.

What hotels/apartments can you recommend in the Bristol & Cardiff area?

We really like the St David's hotel, Cardiff Bay. Not cheap but lovely!

Hotel Du Vin in Bristol.

Also Bristol Harbour Hotel looks lush but we’ve not stayed there.

Berwick Lodge. It’s just outside of Bristol near Cribbs but certainly a bit different from chain hotels and has luxurious rooms which have an erotic and decadent vibe. I haven’t stayed there for over ten years but always enjoyed it when I did.

My boudoir - S Wales

I’ve stayed in a few but Parkgate is the best. Hands down. Beautiful spa but book well in advance. You’re limited to time slots.

Celtic is ok but a bit outdated.

Park Plaza is also really nice. Gorgeous spa there.
