I'm thinking mid Nov is really too early for Christmas store advertising. Not trying to be a grinch here, but does anyone else think it all kicks off way too early? I think probably 1-2 weeks before the event would be more appropriate. |

Like advertising stores for Christmas gifts?
No.
Most people (particularly women) start their shopping for Christmas months beforehand. Advertising last minute only catches the people who haven't prepared properly. |

Well, according to the 2024 John Lewis festive advert, it only seems to be (slightly maniacal) women who do the Christmas shopping. Very disappointing from the company who brought us Hare and Bear and all those snowman/snowwoman adverts in times of yore. |

Adverts on TV can be easily avoided, especially if you live with no TV . However, what really gets me, is Seasonal greetings displaying on the buses from a day after Remembrance Sunday, and people who decorate the outside of their houses in November! Do whatever you want inside, but garden/outside decorations should not be out till December. |
