Singles' Day is a holiday celebrated annually in China, The event is celebrated each year on Nov. 11. Unattached individuals mark the occasion by spoiling and treating themselves to gifts and presents.
As a perpetual single, I actually spent the whole weekend treating myself in Italy.
Today, I just want to give a shout out to all of us singles on Fab. We rock!  |

Mrs W I hope Italy was dreamy. Where did you go?
This thread has given me the green light to get the coat I’ve been eyeing up in Ted Baker. I think I always knew I was going to get it but this has given me justification so thank you! 
Also. I think swingle might be my new favourite word so thank you to the poster above! |

I love this idea...
After realising that the common denominator in all my failed relationship is me I've decided I'm probably best living a single life from now on and actually see the appeal.
So, not that I needed it but, thank you for the opportunity and permission to indulge myself. I think I'll take a rain check until next time I don't have the kids and splurge on myself. |

My indulgent weekend will include (but not necessarily in this order):
That SPA weekend I'd promised myself but never got around to booking
At trip to a Swingers club to meet some lovely open-minded people
A 90-minute session with a cuddle buddy (just to see what it's like) |

A quick question for the newly single, how do you get your fix of affection?
That's the bit I find I'm missing. Just the lazy cuddles on the sofa of an evening or Sunday afternoon, or spooning in the night, etc.
Am I alone in missing these? And how do you get your fix as a singleton? Do I just need to find an FB or FWB? |

I've been single for 4 months after the end of a LTR, and I've slowly just got used to it. I see my fwb once a month, sometimes twice, and I get affection then. It's only really been the last 6 weeks or so where I don't feel the need for it in between. |

I’ve been single for many years (can’t think why, I am most excellent), I always say to newly single people get back on the horse asap. Even if it’s just dating or socialising, if you hermit yourself away, after a few years you get so used to it that the alternative becomes almost impossible.
That being said, with affection and social days out, I’ve found it easier to make women friends when there is no hint of a “physical” thing going on and I am lucky that I have people to sit and talk too (at, I’m a chatterbox), go out for meals with or even visit a rare breeds farm with (who knew?). They are usually single too and a non-sexual cuddle is something that is mutually nourishing.
Just be honest about your intentions and mutually affectionate friendships can occur. Good luck  |

Yep 9 years happily single, 6 amazing years with my fwb's so far  |
