Have you noticed these sorts of posts on Bacefook;
"A real man doesn't care about body size - boys do"
"a real man doesn't care about a woman's debts"
"A real man doesn't look at multiple women" and so on.
Whenever I look at Bacefook, this sort of thing is rife. Then you look at the comments and it's women saying "too right", etc.
God, I've never felt so fake in my life! Being a "real man" seems like it would be a nightmare! Fair play to the "real men" out there. 😂
Anyway, it got me thinking; Imagine the backlash if we did a "real woman" one, then all posted "too right brother", etc.. lol.
A real woman would be skinny, a real woman would have ZZ cup tits, a real woman would clear up after herself and take the fucking bins out. A real woman would decide what she wants to eat. A real woman would pay for my mortgage without complaining and would be on her knees every night, blah blah...
Imagine the backlash from that!

My daughters take the bins out, we have a democratically determined rota for household chores.
Their mum, fuck me was she messy. I'm saving that for later... For what a microbiological experiment?
Just bollocks isn't it? As if just using men are, or women are isn't already a crass avoidance of any real depth of thought, let's throw 'real' in there just to empathise how comfortable we are in our prejudice and ignorance.
But hey a bunch of other people, whom are equally ignorant, agree and liked it so it's an objective truth and not verbal diarrhoea. Hey there's even a few memes, video shorts and someone is printing t-shirts with a catchy slogan. Maybe I'll get one for my partner for her birthday. |

So, in my opinion, it's an attempt to demasculate men who don't appease certain women. If you don't give me this, then you're not a real man. It's some sort of psychological abuse.

Like the description of a real woman, a real dom, a real whatever.
It's only ever to act like it only counts if it's the extreme. And anything that absolutely is in the category but doesn't fit this one person's perception isn't relevant.
An asshole does this, but a real asshole does this much worse thing.
It might be fun to joke around with again. Like most things that are quietly depressing when people take it seriously. "If you really loved me you'd never emotionally manipulate me like this." |
