Having a bit of a cult movie blow out at the moment - Gummo, Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowlarama, Kids, Buffalo 66, Pink Flamingos…

Any suggestions / favourites?!

Slightly nerdy I know!

I forgot Audition. And the original Ring - way more terrifying than the remake!

Thanks for engaging in this post.

I guess cult means - low budget, weird, unusual, or forgotten. I dunno - i learned pretty much everything from Jonathan Ross’ Incredibly Strange Picture Show, and the Southbank Show.

I kinda miss weird, badly made films.

And to that end - The Room (jeebus)

Early movies by David Lynch, Darren Aronofsky & Peter Jackson. Recently re watched blue Velvet , Pi & Bad Taste ! Don’t really rate Tarantino but Reservoir Dogs is ok. One of my all time fave movies is Paris Texas, great soundtrack too by Ry Cooder.

87% popcorn and 69% critics isn’t underrated , I think those ratings are fair, it’s one of his worst films but still decent.

So, bit more cult status..

Bad Taste, Peter Jackson’s (LOTR) first ever film, made on ridiculously low budget with minimal equipment. Classic and full of Aussie tasteless humour. I have a release copy, great film..

Battle Royale, the Japanese original, subtitled only.

Originally banned in UK but a classic film. Started a genre.
