those fireworks. They have been non stop for the last hour. Organised ones fine if that's your thing but the rest so unecessary, often dangerours and horrible for animals of all kind too A big waste of money also. Just my opinion of course and appreciate others may disagree but there you go |

Although annoying, especially for the fearful pets, just let it be 😁 someone is having fun and enjoying themselves.
Just close the windows and give any pets that are afraid all the love and treats/snacks they can take 😉 they’ll associate the fear with love and treats/snacks in no time.
If that’s not enough there’s no hope for the funseekers 😂😂 |

Sorry, but no.
I’ve mitigated all potential annoyances by pre-warning neighbours with pets. I’ve bought low noise selections. And it’s one night of the year, for me and the family. I’m not cancelling the smiles on Mini Wicks face. |

Mb you never got a pack of fireworks as a kid and went to a field and set them off with joy and laughter? It’s fun and should be encouraged for the 1-4 nights a year because enough of the fun is depleting daily 🤷🏽♂️
Don’t stop fun or we’re all doomed I tell ya 😂😂😂 |

What about the cows?
The sheep?
List is endless for all the outdoor farm animals and creatures that survive quite well in firework/noise season.
Makes me wonder sometimes if humans are actually making it worse for Cats/Dogs as an example, as they learn the fear from the owners always trying to shield them from something.
My Bulldog quite happily goes out with fireworks going off around him as I've never made a fuss around them or him. |

I disagree with you there.
In my area fireworks have been going off for several weeks now. What are we supposed to do, keep our pets indoors until after the New Year.
Fireworks should be limited to organised displays only..

I'm all for organised displays. But they have been going off where I live since over a week ago, every evening pretty much. And probably will go on for another week at least. My dog last night crawled under my daughter's bed and we couldn't get him back out. So get the kids some sparklers or something |

If pets were exposed to fireworks and other noises they wouldn’t be scared, do they cower walking down the road with loud trucks, motorbikes or cars passing by?
If so it may not be the pet/animal with issues 😂😂😂 |

Mine does. As a Serbian rescue dog I don't know her full history or what she's been through. She's nervous about a lot of things I don't understand the threat of.
And I absolutely accept fireworks are a thing for bonfire night, the Saturday nearest bonfire night for the fire shows, new years, and other actual occasions. We can batten down with the thunder vest and stay hone so she's not alone and afraid, play music to distract and no walks after the sun sets.
But right now, it's a dreary Monday. It isn't the fifth. It isn't a special day. And they've been going on most nights for weeks now. |

It's illegal to set off fireworks near horses or livestock. But every year arseholes do it, just to see fireworks that they could see at organised displays safely away from animals.
Every year dozens of horses die through accidents caused by fireworks.
Private fireworks sales need to be banned. |

Waht about the people that are scared of them? What about the dangers surrounding the fact any stupid person with half a brain cell can buy them and cause some serious damage and harm? What about the emergency workers who have even more work at this time of the year because of said stupid people and also have their own safety threatened with them? The kids that get hold of them? The kids that get hurt because of them?
I feel for the animals completely but it isn't just them. |

Hmm… I think there should be organised firework displays over a couple of days only. I bet there’s quite an increase in accidents/injuries, fires, damage to property/cars etc when people set their own fireworks off not to mention the distress they cause animals. Most little kids would be just as happy with some sparklers and a toffee apple, no need for the sale of noisy (and dangerous) fireworks/rockets etc |

I don’t condone the idiots truly and think the fireworks should be set off responsibly to reduce harm to anyone but the suggestions of banning the private sale of fireworks or banning fireworks completely is ludicrous 🤦🏽 if I want a pack of fireworks to set off in my garden I’ll buy them and do just that. The idiots of the world will always be idiots and the harm and injuries to animals and humans will continue even if fireworks didn’t exist.
Bonfire night has lost its meaning and flair but fireworks are still fun to many.
Nothing more said from me 🤷🏽♂️ |

We talk a lot about personal choices and personal responsibility.
As a dog owner, I pick up his stuff, take care with him around kids. We aren’t bothering anyone else. He’ll bark the odd time he’s excited seeing other dogs.
Fireworks are someone else’s choice but the effect isn’t just limited to the person buying them. You hear them whether you want to or not.
If it’s actually one day, fair enough. It really isn’t though.
Some will keep fireworks for new year or set off after their team wins something.
Only a blanket ban excepting organised displays is the way ahead. |

If your argument is you and your vapid brats get happy from the bang and the colourful light at the expense of all the animals in the area, I have no time for you.
Fireworks have been going off here since before Diwali and will carry on until well after the 5th and my animals are inconsolable. It's so sad.
Yes they're on medication for it. Yes we've tried to condition them out of it. No, they don't understand what is going on they're in constant terror.
Fireworks should be banned. All of them. Gone. |

Gov is considering banning all fireworks apart from 4 dates.
Divali, Chinese New year, bonfire night and new years eve. With also a potential non licensed purchase, blanket ban on sales. As too many youngsters are getting their hands on fireworks. |
