Can you remember the pub you had your first drink in? Is it still around or is it gone?

My first one was The Goose in Glasgow. Rubbish but I was 17 and they didn't bother checking ID 🤷‍♂️

M

I think mine was the Garibaldi in Staines when I was about 13 or 14.

Pretty rough and lost it's license a few times. Not sure it's still there.

tried to act casual like I'd done it before so asked for a pint of John smiths because it was near a £1 a pint. Instantly knew why.

Here, There & Everywhere

The Nelson Tavern, Mudeford, Christchurch. Popular drinking hole with local smugglers when it opened in the 1700s. Had my first drink there in 1987, aged 16, when I became a Venture Sea Scout 😁 Ooh, the stories I could tell...but won't! Haha! And, amazingly, the pub is still running successfully to this day.

Used yo have a pub at the end of my street. Old skool family boozer called the perseverance. It's now gone down the hipster route and called the huntress. Many fond memories were made there.
