I have a predilection for socks. I love the reassuring and 'inspirited' feel when wearing socks. Long socks, sometimes short socks and occasionally ankle socks.
This is a thread about socks. It will never be threadbare. A broad spectrum of colourful and monochrome socks are moored in my sock drawer like little boats bobbing in the harbour.
Let's pay homage to socks as the autumnal nights draw in and we crave for that warm and luxuriant fabric around our 'tootsies'.
This gentleman loves socks.
Did I ever parley about socks?
I have now. |

I like grippy socks and didn't realise that "grippy sock vacation" was a euphemism for a psych hold.
Only realised when everyone was shocked that I thought a grippy sock vacation would be amazing - sod the flip-flops and espadrilles, I want to kick round in a massive jumper and a pair of grippy socks, drinking cocoa and reading books and eating apples, maybe watching the rain outside.
I have a few pairs of very fluffy grippy socks and they keep me feeling all cosy and snug. |

Aww Nero you romantic soul, you.
I really like socks. 🧦
I have some socks that make me very happy. My favourite shovel handed associate once gave me a pair of his socks as a birthday present. He'd worn them in a beautiful photo. It was lovely.
I also have some fine knit over the knee socks. Really want to find a pair of dark green ones.
I really like wearing frilly white ankle socks with loafers.
My favourite type of socks are those that tell me it's business time. |

I'm going to refrain from 'Googling' "grippy sock vacation". At least until after I've finished my porridge. 🙂 |

Nothing better than a pair of hand knitted socks. Luxury and warmth beyond anything I've ever found in a shop. Struggle to finish making the second of a pair most of the time though or I'd have more 😂 |

Me too, Nero - me too!
I like thin cotton, block colour or subtle spots for work. Burgundy is my favourite colour. Think Tabio.
I like chunky Nordic style socks for the weekend. Think Bjorgk.
But quite often in crew socks for the gym too. Can't beat Nike. |

Oh I love this time of year for nice socks
Nice fluffy ones or thick ones or woolly ones or cosy ones.
I do, to my shame, also have to admit to also loving my Uggs. Hideous things and I only ever wear them out of the house for post open water swims but the snuggly cosy sheepskin is like a hug for my feet and cold tootsies. |

Oo I love a good sock (which, worryingly, my phone changed to cock 😳).
I tend to back n forth between spots and stripes and at the moment I’m on a spots charge. Might treat myself to some happy socks because they make me smile. |
