When we feel we lack confidence, regardless of why we feel that way, we need to understand that others do not know we feel that way. They are not in our heads and do not know our thoughts.

Confidence comes from having the ability to do thing comfortably. But we are not born knowing how to do things, so we are all, every one of us, faced with questioning our ability to do a thing for the first time.

Even the most confident people were not confident originally. They went through the same process. Kind and empathic people realise this, and should allow you room to learn. Very switched on and supportive folks should nurture.

In summary, no one else knows you are not confident except for you, so as the expression goes, "fake it till you make it", because no one else is any the wiser.
