Piccadilly is just the centre. But it is about 5 mins walk away from the Gay Village. As I only ever drink in the Gay Village I wouldn't be able to tell you where the best vanilla place is. But in the Village I would recommend, Sanctuary, The Molly House, Taurus. Some people like Via Fossa - ok if you like a lot of young uns. The Rem (Rembrandt) has gone downhill lately. Churchills is not bad. If you want a bit more seedy then Hollywood Showbar or New York New York. |

Lemars bar in Piccadilly is a great place to drink. Take a look at their website as you'll never find it otherwise. It's in one of the back streets. If you are on Canal St and need somewhere to eat. We would recommend Velvet restaurant and bar. |

Piccadilly isn't a particularly nice area of the city bar wise - tends to be cheaper end bars with regulars & footie crowds on match days.
Head to either The Village, The Northern Quarter (except Oldham St), Spinningfields, Deansgate Locks or Top Deansgate for a good selection of bars.
DB9 does mention some of the better bars in The Village. |
