Sorry it’s a bit niche. I’m going up to the Lakes. It’s stunning this time of year and the forecast is good.

What is your favourite walk?

Mine is probably Buttermere, Fleetwith Pike, Haystacks loop.

At this time of year all walks are a good, the cool days mean you can see for miles and there is less people about the colours are beautiful and contrary to belief the lake district is clean and tidy

Come and enjoy the Cumbrian hospitality

I think I've probably done about 80 walks in the lakes over the last 15 years..

One favourite route is "rydal water"..quite near ambleside, (start at the Rydal water car park.) What i like about this is you don't particularly need a map. You can just wander for half the day and there's a lot of circular routes that you can stumble across.

The ennerdale area of the northwest is really quiet, good walking place, even at the height of tourist season /summer (most people flock to windermere).

If you can do a walk around Ullswater, that's worthwhile. Love that location. That whole place feels prehistoric.

If you happen to be near Keswick, you can head towards adore falls waterfall. Only about a mile away from the town. Incredibly scenic.

On the other side of the M6 is my soul food, the Yorkshire dales. Can’t help with the lakes walks but if you decide to explore the dales let me know and I can reccomend a few walks
