"John Thaw played two of my favourites, Jack Regan and Morse. "
I loved Morse - so cantankerous, and human. When I saw Inspector Morse in South Africa, I thought what a nice place Oxford and Oxfordshire looked to live. When we emigrated, we ended up living in exactly that place, and I love it. |

Jason King, from the late 1960's to early 70's, loved him as a kid n wanted to grow up n be like him.
But now not too sure after he got caught by the police in 1975 having sex with a man in the toilets of Gloucester bus station.
Also he was the man Austin Powers was based on. |

Stories were good. The guest actress in each episode always a hottie and the food and scenery were great. I had a similar fiat punto years ago
The title sequences with mad music and where you think the helicopter will crash is funny too |

Detective John Munch. He's the only detective that has appeared as the same person over multiple universes of tv series! The entire seven seasons of Homicide: Life On The Streets. Fifteen seasons of Law And Order SVU. Popped up in The Wire. Detective Munch made his way into the X Files universe twice. Arrested Development. 30 Rock. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. Munch even managed to become a muppet on Sesame Street, a cartoon on American Dad, and appear next to Deadpool and Spiderman in a comic book. He is even a contact of John Luther (with some really bizarre universe complications going on there, as John Luther is Idris Elba who was also Stringer Bell in The Wire!!). And mustn't forget, Munch also established himself in the Brady Bunch universe by an appearance in the 1996 movie "A Very Brady Sequel".
Detective John Munch, too big to be contained by even a dozen universes. |

Another one I absolutely love is Saga Noren from the Danish/ Swedish TV series ‘The Bridge’. She’s a brilliant written character and her possible Asperger’s or really blunt personality is a very strong character trait very rarely seen. |
